I just finished reading On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan (the author of Atonement).
This book is so good that I’m now a die hard McEwan fan and want to read everything he’s written. The majority of the plot takes place over a couple’s wedding night but you get to know their histories and a lot about them throughout the novel. It really moves along, it’s a fairly easy read, and completely absorbing.
Pick it up if you want to read something short but soul-satisfying.
